How to make your computer welcome you?

Lets imagine, what if you are opening your computer and your computer welcome you by saying like, “Welcome to your PC, sir” .

Doesn’t this sounds cools.

You might have seen a lots of movies where computer actually welcome their users with their name. And You also want the same from your computers welcoming you with your name. Then you are at the right place. We will discuss here on how to make you computer welcome you saying your name in its own computerized voice. That’s right saying your actual name. This tutorial is only for windows users who can make their computers say whatever they want on startup.

So without wasting time lets get straight to the process.

Steps to make your computer welcome you.

Step 1. Open Notepad

Click on start menu and navigate to ‘All Programs=>Accessories =>Notepad ‘. Or you can open notepad by simply typing notepad on run.

Step 2. Copy and Paste

Copy and paste given code carefully on notepad.

speaks=" Welcome to your PC , Username "
Set speech=CreateObject("sapi.spvoice")
speech.Speak speaks

Step 3. Replace username with your name

Replace the Username in the given code with your own name.

save as

Step 5 : Copy the saved file.

Step 6 : Paste the file : 

Navigate to  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup “ (in Windows XP) and to ” C:\Users\ {User-Name}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup “ ( For other versions of windows ) .if C: is your Windows system drive. Here ” AppData ” is a hidden folder. So, you should select ” show hidden folders ” in the Folder options to locate it. Or directly add that file to your startup menu.

That’s it , From the next time when you start your computer, Windows will welcome you. Try it by yourself to see how it works. But with my personal experience I can say that this is an excellent trick .
